Exciting New Speakers Announced for FutureBuild 2014!

A range of industry experts have recently been confirmed to speak at the brand new UK conference, FutureBuild 2014.

The event will include keynote addresses delivered by top politicians, sustainable energy industry specialists and business entrepreneurs, as well as a range of sessions discussing issues affecting sustainable housing, renewable energy and community energy schemes. A policy debate involving key politicians, European representatives, industry specialists and journalists will be held.

Two new panellists have been announced for the FutureBuild 2014 policy debate on sustainable green buildings; Alan Whitehead MP, Chair of PRASEG (Associate Parliamentary Renewable and Sustainable Energy Group), and Linda McAvan MEP. They join James Murray, the editor of Business Green as panellists in the debate chaired by Dave Sowden of the Sustainable Energy Association (SEA).

Jennifer Clark, the Director of Environment for Skanska UK, is now confirmed to give a talk on Green Construction at FutureBuild 2014 during an unmissable second day of sessions.

Skanska, established in 1887, is one of the world’s leading project development and construction groups. The UK operation is one of the country’s top contractors and Skanska’s 5,200 employees delivered revenues of £1.2 billion in 2013.

Four other experts have also been announced and are set to captivate audiences at the conference. These include:

·         Professor Tony Ryan from the University of Sheffield, who will chair the key notes speech on Day 2 of the conference

·         Jack Scott, Sheffield's Cabinet Member for the Environment, Recycling and Streetscene, who will give a talk on the Sheffield Green Commission

·         Matthew Rhodes from independent consulting engineers, Encraft, who will look at retrofitting and energy efficiency

·         Tina Gaebler from the University of Potsdam, Germany, who will discuss community sustainability
