Sheffield City Hall is in the heart of the City Centre, opposite John Lewis and at the top of the main High Street, Fargate.

Access and Entering Sheffield City Hall
On arrival at Sheffield City Hall please enter via Balm Green and proceed to the Ballroom to register. Disabled access is available at all entrances and a ramp is situated on the left hand side of the venues main steps when entering via the front doors for the Irwin Mitchell Oval Hall.

Cutlers Hall

Church Street, Sheffield, S1 1HG

The Cutlers' Hall is Sheffield's most prestigious venue. Set in the heart of the city centre Cutlers' Hall is the ideal party or conference venue in Sheffield. This Grade 2 listed building is located on Church Street and in its time played an integral role in both the expansion of the major local industries of cutlery and metalwork.

Sheffield City Hall Car Parking

We recommend Q Park on Rockingham Street / Portobello Street. £3 for 24 hours.

Purchase tickets on the day:
Drive and park at the Q Park on Rockingham Street and take a ticket on entry. Purchase a £3 discounted parking ticket from the City Hall Box Office before the end of the day and take both tickets back to the pay station in the car park when you want to leave. Enter both tickets at the pay station in the car park and you will be given a ticket to exit with, without any further payment. Please note you will be given printed instructions on the above once you collect your parking ticket. City Hall can not reserve parking spaces.


Cutlers Hall Car Parking

The nearest 24 hour car park is only a few minute’s walk away to the hall - N .C .P Arundel Gate is underneath the Crucible Theatre. Access is available from both sides of Arundel Gate.

The special car parking rate is £5.00 for up to 24 hours

On entry to the car park at Arundel Gate take a token at the barrier and park your car. Take the token with you, do not leave it in your car. When you are ready to leave the Cutlers’ Hall go to the cloak room to validate your token on the token machine to obtain the discounted rate. Then pay your money at the N.C.P. car park machine before you get in your car.


By Rail

Sheffield is at the heart of the railway network. Regular services operate between Sheffield and London St. Pancras (from just over 2 hours), Birmingham (1.25 hours), Leeds (1 hour) Manchester (1 hour) and Nottingham (1 hour).


There is a direct link from the railway station to the Sheffield Station Supertram stop via the main overbridge.

Park and Ride is the most convenient way to get to the University if you're arriving in Sheffield by car. There is a tram stop called "City Hall".

From the M1, use the Nunnery Square or Meadowhall Interchange Park and Ride sites and take the yellow tram route towards Middlewood.

From Manchester and the west, use the Middlewood Park and Ride site and take the yellow tram towards Meadowhall.


By Air

Manchester, Leeds/Bradford and Nottingham East Midlands airports are all about an hour's travel time from Sheffield.

Robin Hood Airport near Doncaster is also around an hour away by car.

Manchester Airport is served by many domestic and international carriers and has a direct rail link to Sheffield both day and night.

Both London airports (Heathrow and Gatwick) are reasonably accessible by rail with just one change of train. We recommend you to allow at least four hours travel time between either of these airports and Sheffield.
